Evaluation and Management Service is an encounter between a provider and a patient.  It takes up 80% of the typical practice’s service base.  Improper utilization has a direct financial impact and compliance risk.  Code Selection depends on patient status, location, type and level of service.

Auditing is an integral piece of compliance but many fear the mere mention of it. It is necessary and is here to stay. The seemingly "overwhelming challenge" of auditing will be broken down to manageable pieces.
